After about one month and 2weeks of a great hibernation, i feel it is a "NEED" for me to update this blog due to some requests from my regular customers/visitors. Haha. I never knew i had a bunch of fans, thank you very much for supporting my blog, particularly my writing though sometimes it is a bit crappy and dragging out of topics. In my last post, i bragged about the activity i had with my culinary students when everyone was asked to compare the American and British vocabulary, discuss the British culture and brainstorm the ideas about "Life in Britain" before they send me the email about their personal opinions. However, i noticed the response and comments from the readers are very low and i conclude that others are more interested to read about my personal life, rather than my teaching activity. Ha3.. Dear loyal audience, do verify my statement.
Last two days, i posted something that sounds controversy on my facebook which is- People are more impressed when someone says "Hi everyone! I play music, write poetry and speak three languages" than "Hi, I play video games and learn Maths and physics." My aim to post this on my wall is to emphasize the importance of learning art to instill creativity since it relates to special abilities and skills. Howver, it makes my sis Syamimi feels not-so-comfortable on her seat when she responded by claiming that Literature people are prone to bipolar disorder! <--how intimidating this statement is. Then, we ended up a virtual war till each other is tired of fighting for further arguments. For those who are not aware, bipolar disorder is known as manic depression causes serious mood changes and hypertension that leads to suicide. Thus, i assume this explains why some writers like Virginia Woolf and others who i cant remember the names (blame me for my short-term memory) died in a very interesting way - tying a huge rock on the hips to go deep into the river, jumping down from the high building etc. ALthough it is recorded that musicians, poets, writers and artists contributed to this symptoms a lot, i believe these people are those who diverted from the path of God, the ones who did not know how to handle stress and choose to end their lives by committing suicide. My objective is for a scientist to take Ibn Sina as an idol, a medical doctor whose name is famous in the Islamic civilization but writes a lot of literary work that contributes to the Prophetic sirah. And of course Islam encourages the believers to promote wasatiah/balanced life, to practice science but art together because this blends a comprehensive individual. And trust me, this is how the Jews work, and no wonder why they conquer the science and technology, control the global finance, dominate the world news and monopolize the art and films.
Well, enough story about that.Actually, i wanna share about the gathering i had with my part 6 students last night at Anjung Cafe.I cant believe that they are going to graduate this sem (They were my 1st batch in my teaching career, so u can imagine how old i feel!) And this is my main reason why i update this blog today.hehe. But since i babbled a lot about the Facebook war, it would be better to make this simple and sweet. So, I wanna say a huge "thank you's" to my beloved Electrical engineering students (40 boys+3 girls) for organizing such an unforgettable gathering. It was really honoured to be one of the VIPs, the food was irresistable and the karaoke session was really2x fun! Howver, I know that every beginning must have an end. I enjoyed every single moment to be your part 1 BEL lecturer in dungun (but same as me, we transfered to Penang in the following sem) and thank you for inviting me, my dear students for your so-called graduation night since this is your last semester. I know you guys remain in my heart forever, and thank you for considering me as part of the CLUB! Photos to be uploaded are on the way soon :)
It's lunch hour now, i gotta go to cook. I misssss.......my own fried mee. Drop me a call if u wanna order.haha.

At last, i was able to upload my own fried mee photo. Believe me, it tasted great despite the dull presentation due to the lack of colourful veggies and drops of soy sauce. Guess it's a sign for me to go shopping for groceries this weekend!

Hi..
Regarding the topic that you have discussed in this post,I do understand what you try to stress here.Counterbalance between art and science are something great for one to possess.
I do agree with you that learning art could trigger our inner creativity which could be applied in many areas of our life. However not everybody are born with art talent in their soul. Learning art is only the first phase but what the most important is, how to get along with the knowledge you gain with a pure passion. I'm just afraid when people try to hard to express their creativity, they might being trapped in their self
indulgence work. That will worst thing to be happened :)
However, don't be stumble and give up with arts because there are many alternative out there, we just have to choose any arts that really suit us.After all, what good about arts, it is so subjective, everybody could interpreted it in their own manner.
As for me I love play music and enjoy my new hobby, photography. What I'm realize when start my photography hobby, it is part of art actually. Everyone can capture a photo but to get a photo that have soul with it, you have to be creative and it must always come
straight from your heart. That what I'm trying to archive :)
Erm,want me to verify about your blog :) What I can say about your blog and writing style, I'm kinda like the way your put your word together. In my opinion your are witty. No matter what story or issue your try to tell here, it always interest me to read it till the end. Keep your good work Snow White.I'm believe your blog follower will increase from time to time, cheers :)
p/s I'm waiting for my portion of your fried mee :)
Dear old Dwarf, sorry for not talking 2u much that night. U know that VIP is always busy with photography and interviews.hehe. But we had a class photo session afterwards, right. Hope that mends ur broken heart ;)
Nizam,
thank you for the support. It's gud 2know that you r still following my blog. Hope the issues we have here would cheer up your day.I am not much into photography but am more interested with the paintings. To me, it is more original since photography is more twd determining the right angle 2make the pic looks alive. However, photography is one of the best ways 2appreciate and value things around you becoz what captures represents the mystery behind it.
Since i couldnt fulfill my wish 2b a journalist,i wish 2have more readers that follow and comment my blog. Thanks for reading ;)
p/s Nizam, u can order my fried mee next time, or help me 2b the agent one day.
haha...broken heart...its ok la snow white...yup VIP alwez bz...who has that pic anyway??i want to look at it..hmmm...did u get our formal pic??the pic that we all wear black coat..
Yeah, i bought the whole set of the class pics. I know i really look like Snow WhitE ;)
I'm not sure who has the pic. But you can ask around. There are lots of cameras that night.
u have the whole set??i want those...i didnt bought them...i dunno who incharge to collect the money...
haha...u really like that 'snow white' name...shining brightly like the golden sun eh...haha
Syahidan is in charge of everything. You should have asked him.
Yeah, someone said that Snow White fairly glows in the moonlight at night, and brightly shines like the golden sun at noon.I only hope she doesnt bring more clouds in the rainy days :p
nope..snow white didnt bring clouds to us...only once snow white brings cloud...that was when i at sem 2..haha..
u scold us...snow white really2 angry that time..even old dwarf also scared that time...i thought snow white like the evil queen that time :p
Yeah, a beauty can turn to a beast sometimes. The boys deserved that.
and beast can become a charming prince...haha..
I rather be a with a frog than the beast that you talk about. Hehe :p
p/s should have allowed public canning for the boys in my class in case they misbehave.
poor snow white...alwez been bullied by little dwarves..haha..but canning is unacceptable...too harsh...
Excuse me, i'm not being bullied okay... but teenagers nowadays are not like our time. The use of foul words are normal to them, i insist if they ever learned the words ETHICS.
Canning is harsh, but it can be allowed only for my class. Haha.
thank god i already pass yor class..haha...but we dungun's student baik2 blake rite??neva use foul words in the class...(chewahh,bgga diri lak)..hehe..
but canning still unacceptable...its really pain..i alwez been caned by my teacher when i was kid..
Yeah, dungun students are gud, but only in sem 1. In semester 2, to be honest, i was disappointed with a few who started playing truants and showed no interests in learning. And there are ppl who criticized me for barring these ppl, and also a fuss that English class is getting boring. I guess this is what you get when you face the same students for two whole semesters.
And since they know my teaching style, now i swear i won't volunteer myself to teach my students for the second time!
Canning is a harmful punishment, but if it ables to teach the student a lesson, why not. i won't agree it should be implemented in primary school but it could be done in the universiy level if there's a right way 2do it. If there is such a punishment here, I'm sure i can list down names of students to be canned within 5mins.LOL.
:( so we are the bad students to u...myb its true wut u said...when the students know yor teaching style, they will start 'pijak kepala'..to be honest..i also feel a bit bored when sem 2...cuz we already mix with others stdent and we are the newcomers in penang...thats y the class feel a bit bored than sem 1..
about the boy u banned,i still rmmber it...but who criticized u?poor him..got banned by snow white...and i still rmmber he is one of my partners in speaking test that time.he doesnt showed up!!make me angry...haha..
Hey Old Dwarf,
dun be sad! i'm referring to some people only but not you. Yes, the class is fun if the whole class treats each other like a family. In sem 1, all of us are one big family and everyon is so close 2each other. However when in sem 2, i could see there was a barrier between the Dungun's and Penang's group. Level of participation was very low, the class was quiet, the attendance was not satisfying and etc. But all i knw is that i had tried my best to integrate you all or maybe i failed :(
However, whevr i feel i am at loss, there are some students in the class who remained in my hearts. And you are one of them, Old Dwarf =)
Syakira,
I want your fried mee..i want i want! (^^)
Lina, sure if u visit me at home. I'm planning 2go to kl this may but dunno what date. Let's meet up,ok.
wow!!mee goreng mamak!!haha..hw much u want to put price for your mee goreng mamak version syakira??look tasty...
Excuse me Old Dwarf,
It's not Mee goreng mamak at all!
haha.
It is the normal fried mee, or you can name it "Mee Goreng Sedap" =)
Its price depends on how large your plate size is. Will determine it soon =)
ooo...mee goreng sdap..i like it..with the bawang goreng..
actually, the price depends on how large yor stomach can feed..hehehe..i bet snow white's got larger space..cuz u eat alot..chubby snow white..hehe..just kiddg...
